Is this a Sempervivum?

    It looks like one, but I'm not sure, and I've never seen a Semp turn into a little tree like this one has.

    it's an aeonium. i don't know which variety though.

    it looks really nice! very, very healthy!

    They have a nice shady spot and sandy soil, and get rained on just about every other night. That's all I'm doing.

    It seems to be able to sustain a massive honkin' bloom spike about once a month without cacking out, too! The flowers smell like fine honey and draw bees like you wouldn't believe....

    Really? Looks like my aeoniums aren't applying themselves! They grew like weeds this winter but no blooms.

    I think being in the Tropics might be helping mine along.... That plant's about three feet tall, not counting its bloom spike (which adds another 18" easy.)
