I am thinking it is a Mycena, and possibly viscosa although it is growing on a log and not the ground. Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. I took this shot two years ago, so no spore print possible at this time. I looked again this year but no bloom.
I'd put my money on Mycena. I'd also cut the base of the mushrooms with my knife to see if they bleed. http://botit.botany.wisc.edu/toms_fungi/jun2002.html
Thanks MycoRob. Well, I certainly will try a cut next time I find one. Hopefully they will bloom again next year. Thanks C. Wick. I'm glad you liked the shot.
