Is this a geranium, or what?

    My daughter-in-law brought me some wild geraniums from the woods on her property here in Central Indiana. The other flowers were the usual pale pink, but this one surprised me with its single red flower. I can't find a picture of it anywhere. Can you help identify it?

    It appears to be Anemone coronaria.

    I second that "or what?"!!

    Anemone coronaria

    Its definitely not a "wild geranium".
