My Passiflora edulis (Granadilla) vine is otherwise healthy, a few caterpillars that I leave on because they make lovely butterflies, but the fruits (about half of them) seem to shrivel up and drop off instead of ripening.

Am I doing something wrong with my Granadilla, or is this a disease or insect thing? The plant is about 40' long, stretched out along my balcony railing. It flowers continuously and profusely, and the carpenter bees keep it pollinated. I water every day, as it's dry season and I don't want to lose fruit through dehydration. The dropped fruit happens all the way along the vine; it's not localised to any one part (old and new growth are affected equally)

It really sucks, because Granadilla is very tasty fruit and since the vine is producing, I wish it would ripen up for me.

The vine's in part to full sun (gets am shade and afternoon to pm sun)

Pictures are the shrivelled fruits (off-vine) and also the healthy ones (on-vine)
