    Hi to all.

Before posting my question have read alot written in the UBC abt colocasia but ofcourse, I am far away with my knowledge to decide:

I have read in several places that some people grow colocasia in the outdoor ponds and since here we are very much short of emerging plants, it was interesting for me.

Attached pics (according to the nursery) belongs to colocasia esculenta (and called taro by the local people) which has been used in villages for making soups etc.

Have only received the photos because the plants are far away in the country.

The dealer says that they have corms of more than 4 lb, but he does not know if it can be grown submerged into the water. Also they do not get darker leaves.

Having a pond in zone 9, do you think if I can place this plant into water? And if possible, can I deep it bare root?

Thanks in advance for your comments.
