A friend gave me this leaf and flower to try and identify. While I've grown lots of different flower, and while this looks familiar, I really don't know what it is. My best guess is a cinquefoil, but i'm not sure. Can anyone help??

    thanks

    Looks very much like Anemone.

This could be a pink version of Anemone japonica, but I am not sure.

Anemone hupehensis or Anemone japonica (many texts treat the latter as a subspecies of the former).

Thanks to everyone who replied! I think it is an anemone, i grew a couple of japanese anemones years ago, which is why it looked familiar but i haven't grown any in so long that what it was, slipped out of my head. Thanks again!
