Is this a canker on my Chamaecyparis?

    Hi Folks,

    Is this a canker on my Chamaecyparis nootkatensis? If it is what can I do? What is the likelihood of this spreading to my other C. nootkatensis?

    Looks like bark damage (possibly mechanical), followed by wound occlusion growth.
