Hi I just bought a home and noticed it has a royal poinciana in the back yard. It looks in bad conditions. I spoke to the neighbor and he said he also had one which was big and beautiful but died due to freeze. Mine has a bunch of holes and dead bark due to what seemed bugs or termites. I want to know what is suggested? Would it regrow if I cut it down? The lower section looks healthier and the top seems to be dead. Any advice is appreciated.
