I have a beautiful large blue spruce tree and I noticed this fall that the inside area of the tree around the trunk all the needles are turning yellow. I t has never done this before. Does it have a disease or is it just shedding some needles. I would hate to lose the tree as it is a safe haven for so many birds around our home.
I hope it can be saved.

Probably just shedding some old needles. It only has problems if the needles on the outer branches in full light start yellowing or dropping.
