Is it worth sowing floating seeds ?

    Some of the seeds I bought from a reputable source are still floating after 48 hours in water.
    Is it still worth trying to sow them in flats ?

    Dried samaras may take a long time to absorb enough water to make them sink. If you have plenty, you could cut a few of the fruits open and see if there are seeds inside. Would look something like this:
