    hi,
i bought 3 timy stalks of bamboo a few years ago and well, it has thrived to the point that i now have 5 stalks that are around 2 feet tall each, i want to separate them into different vases but im afraid thrie roots are too badly tangled together, is there any way to separate them with out killing them? or should i just look for a bigger vase?
    thanks
    jamie

I suspect you are talking about "Lucky Bamboo" (Dracaena sanderana). If you are, then they are very tough plants. Sure, it will "hurt" it, but it will recover. Just take your time and be careful.
