I have a rose in my garden which I suspected is either Blessings or Queen Elizabeth. My rose has these qualities; the flower is cerise pink in color, intense under heat (garden temp is above 90F) flower size is 3 - 4 inch when open flat the leaves are slightly roundish instead of longish, medium to dark green thorn is evenly spaced fragrant is mild to none I found out that Blessings originates from the cross of Queen Elizabeth x seedling. No wonder they look almost identical. Some of the descriptions I've read mentioned color of Blessings as salmon-pink/orange pink/rose pink, whereas QE as pink/medium pink. There's another rose in my garden (3rd pic/right) that has the same qualities as the one I try to identify above but of orange/salmon pink in color. Could this be Blessings instead? QE II? This ID thing is becoming quite a challenge *sigh*. Pics attached.
'Queen Elizabeth' seen here tends to appear a sort of artificially even and bright chalky pink, like candy or ice cream, on extra tall, vigorous stems. Opening flowers have a cowbell outline, with broad, erect petals.
