I received some Calendula (not sure what botanical name is) (Calendula officinalis?)seeds from my friend yesterday, I'm wondering if they are annuals or perennials in our area? (zone 5) Thanx.

Here is a website with pics of them http://www.livingwilderness.com/seasons/calendula.html

They are annuals, but unless they are hybridized they usually have lots of seeds..if you let the seed pods form and dry you can shake them out, they are shaped like little sickles..they germinated very easily. I usually just throw them around near where the last ones bloomed, but you can keep them in an envelope in a dry place and sow them in the spring it you want
