Irises at Nitobe Memorial Garden

    I'm assuming this thread was intended to include Nitobe Garden. At today's noon-hour talk on Irises, given at UBCBG by Martha Bassett, Martha mentioned not being able to find any photos of the irises at Nitobe, so here are some photos from today. These ones are over by the zigzag bridge (supposedly known as the “devil-losing bridge”, according to several websites), and the same kind are also across the pond to the right of the entrance. These seem to be just about finished blooming.

    This small patch is near the 'Taki-nioi' ornamental cherry. OK, maybe that major landmark <grin> doesn't mean much to most people; they're to the left of the entrance.

    Nice. The last one looks like Iris sibirica, are the others cultivars of Iris ensata?
