    Howdy Philip,
I have the same problem on red, white currants and gooseberries. If you find the answer, please let me know. Much appreciated. An old friend grows saskatoons and he is the only grower in Alberta who does not have probelms with sawfly. (Sawfly has the same life cycle as the currant worms.) This gentleman (92 years old) solved the problem by letting his chickens, turkeys and ducks roam his saskatoon planting. Since the larvae drop into the ground to pupate, the fowls ate them for supper and kept the pest at bay. I don't think my neigbours mind me keeping a chicken or two but how do I keep the coyotes and skunks away?
    Peace
    Thean
