Identification: Iona Park log fungus

    Found on the same log as in the previous post.
    Wonder if they are Bisporella citrina - Yellow Fairy Cups !

    Thank you for sharing this photo - very lovely wee things!
    They do resemble Bisporella citrina, but the colour and the shape suggests this may be Orbilia instead.
    A common Orbilia in our region is O. xanthostigma, but I don't know enough about this genus to make a species level ID.

    That's good enough to point me in the right direction.
    Thanks a lot. By the way, heard lots of frogs croaking
    out of hibernation this morning at Iona.
