Anyone know what the heck this b***ard is? It's a fast-growing vine that's beginning to take over trees. And if you know what it is, do you know how to get rid of it? I've hacked a chunk out of big vines starting to cover trees before and ended up killing the trees. I never thought about it, but I suppose the vines are tapping into the sap in the trees.

Any help you can lend will be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thanks.

    Thanks! That looks like it.

Now I don't know what to do with it - just leave it and let it kill the black walnut trees or pull it down. Decisions, decisions...

You can just control it. Break most of ascending stems and leave some. Horizontal spreading is more difficult to control as it makes roots at each node touching the ground. I usually clean the horizontal shoots once a year to keep it local.
