    Hello,

My name is Gary A Hardy and I live in Victoria, BC. For many years now I have been interested in Aroids and have a small collection in my home. I am also a long time aquarium enthusiast, specializing in the keeping of tropical, blackwater ripariums. I mix the two hobbies by growing immersed aroids in my tanks. I have recently taken a big interest in Jasarum steyermarkii, it being a South American (Neotropical), submersed aroid found in blackwater biotopes, the only fully aquatic, tropical American aroid. I am wondering if anyone here has had experience with this plant, either horticulturally or in the wild? Do you know if tubers would be available? If you have seen this plant in the wild or know of someone that has, I would be very interested in learning more about it and the plant and fish community it was associated with.

Hello all, and thank you for reading this.
