I am new on here, and would like to begin by saying hello, and what a great, interesting, site!! My question to anyone with any knowledge of the "Devil's Club" is where and how can I get information on this plant. I am doing a project along with one my classmates at Camosun College here in Victoria. We are very interested in the Devil's Club and want to put together a complete project on it. any ideas of books, papers, pictures, personal experiences, knowledge of these plants. I would also like to know locations here in Victoria that I could locate this plant? Thank you. cheers, Mawflaw
I have to second what Ron B said. I added Victoria to the query and off the top got a paper by Carla M. Burton , School of Environmental Studies, University of Victoria, entitled "PS 14-185 - Recovery of devil’s club (Oplopanax horridus) after clearcut logging in northwestern British Columbia". Maybe you can get a copy of that and check out the bibliography.
E Flora BC is a great site. A BC provincial gem. Check it out: http://www.geog.ubc.ca/biodiversity/eflora
