I purchased 1000 ladybugs last year, and they seemed to work well for getting rid of aphids on my apple trees. They cost me $50 though, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a cheaper source for ladybugs?

    thanks

The cheapest source of ladybirds available is from Mother nature herself,
Plant species within family umbelliferae, in winter avoid tidying or removing last seasons growth from perennials, allow a stand of milk thistle to almost flower. recreate nature in your garden and the ladybirds will arrive and stay.
Dill, italian parsley, fennel and angelica seem to be popular
