I purchased a indoor citrus tree last October in NJ. It had 4 baseball sized fruit when I bought it. One fell off when I moved it into the house. It is about 3 ft high. There was no name on the tag. It seems to be doing well the past 3 months though it has just developed some scale on the branches and friut. I just sprayed it. My question is the fruit. They are still green but have gotten some yellow/orange on the bottom. They seem to be softer when squeezed than when I first bought the tree. When will the fruit be ready to be picked? I've read that sometimes the fruit can take a year to develope. I don't know how long they've been on the tree. Should I cut one open or just wait? Thanks
