I have just recently bought and planted a 2-3 yr. old indoor lemon tree. It gets plenty of light and has multiple flower buds, but some of the branches and shoots have little black bugs...so little you can barely tell they are bugs...I am thinking mites and they are lettting off a sticky substance on the leaves. Should I cut them off? And what can I spray the plant with?
Last summer I had a different pest problem (little scales) on my lemon tree. I used rubbing alcohol to clean the leaves, applied twice at a 2 week interval and it cleared up. Perhaps rubbing alcohol will clear up the pests you have...
