My son gave me a bleeding heart vine that I am growing indoors as I am in a zone 3-4. 'The first year it did beautifully. This year it had 1 bloom and is now dropping leaves at an amazing rate. What should I do?

I think it wants to be outside. Many are hardy to your zone. Are we talking about a Dicentra?

More likely Clerodendrum thomsoniae, Bleeding Heart Vine.
Needs a minimum temperature of 10–13 °C (50–55 °F). If planted outdoors in temperate areas it needs shelter and a frost-free environment. For information on growing it as a houseplant see http://www.guide-to-houseplants.com/bleeding-heart-vine.html.
