I have an indoor bird of paradise that sits about 4 feet from a south window. It is just under a year old and grows like crazy so I was watering it a lot. The leaves started turning yellow and then brown and curling in the sun (at that point it was sitting in the window itself). I got advice to water it twice with a 9 to 1 solution of water and hydrogen peroxide, and then really cut down on watering. I also moved it away from the window. As a result, the new leaves are coming in much healthier, but there’s still a tiny bit of browning on the tip. I’m now watering it about once a week, if that, letting the top inch or so of the pot dry out. It’s in a 10 inch rubber nursery pot, but I’ve cut out holes in the side as well as the bottom, so that it has more air than it would otherwise. I posted a picture of the new leaf. Is there anything else I can be doing to keep the leaves from browning even a little and making sure the plant is healthy? I don’t want to lose it!
