    Everything is late this year, but here's a list of some of the showier things I noticed in bloom today while walking around the Garden's native plant collections:

    Arctostaphylos columbiana (nearly finished)
    Erythronium oregonum
    Erythronium revolutum
    Trillium ovatum
    Ribes sanguineum (and cultivar 'White Icicle')
    Dodecatheon hendersonii
    Lysichiton americanus
    Petasites frigidus

    Sometime this week:

    Saxifraga ferruginea
    Sanicula crassicaulis
