In a very large farmer’s field, where previously this year I saw turnips growing, which have now been harvested, I see the plant in the photos growing all over the field.
    Is it a crop?
    Is it a weed?
( if so I do not see it growing around the field margins- where grass etc grows.)
    Location: Edenbridge, Kent, England.
Soil: Class 2 (not the best). Clay.
Recent growing weather: Very wet, and temperate.
    First photo: Whole plant
Second: Strand of plant on my glove to give size.
    Third: Looking down on strand.
    Fourth: The field.
    Any I D appreciated.
    Thank you
