    Hello fellow cacti fans!
Today I find myself in an interesting situation! I just bought a cactus! (A really cute small one!) But....low and behold, no care instructions were given with said cactus. I'm not really a gardener, but I thought a cactus was a good place to start. Did I make a mistake? Do any of you cacti owners have any helpful information? PLEASE! I feel like I'm the parent to my little cactus! I don't want to kill it! I'd feel guilty for the rest of my life!

    Welcome to the Forum, missc.

The term 'cactus' is used quite loosely, with the term applied to all sorts of plants: giant saguaro, 'Christmas cactus', opuntia, euphorbias---huge variety and diversity.

Please give us a photo to help us ID your new family member! Once that is accomplished, I am sure that our cactus mavens will be able to tell you how to how best to care for him/her.
