I'm so pretty I need a name

    These plants were from a friend and appear to be annuals that seed prolifically. The flowers have just opened (London, Ontario) and look like delicate little pink orchids. The plants are 3-4 feet tall. I'm told that the seed pods explode when they're ripe.

    It's interesting to know that it's illegal for sale in many places because of it's rampant spread.
    (I still think it's pretty!)

    I do to, And it's easily pulled up when it travels to an area you don't want it in. Flowers can even be a darker pink and in between. Seed pods when ripe and touched do explode and spit seeds up to 20' away. Hense another commom name "touch-me-not". But, still, do be carefull. I've seen the plants get 10 ft. tall when happy! barb
