Okay so i went to the nursery today to buy some small Terracotta pots and saw this little guy sitting there and it was marked Epiphyllum. But just the shape of it and such is telling me that its not.. Of course with my obsessive compulsion of getting succulents/cacti's that gets me questioning, I had to get it. If it is really a Epiphyllum, I would like to know what kind!
And here is another plant that I got from a friend. She has these growing in her backyard and gave me a piece. I am not sure what it is. She said it never flowered for her.
ANd one more, I had this guy for awhile... I am assuming that it is some kind of succulent.. again, just another ID, its been bugging me.
#1 Appears to be "Epiphyllum". This is a general term for certain epiphytic cacti. Most of today's popular cultivars are unknown intergeneric and/or interspecific hybrids, so they are generally listed without specific botanical taxons: http://www.epiphyllum.com/ Really no way to tell which kind without flower. #3 Ledebouria socialis: http://www.gflora.com/zen-cart/images/ledebouria1.jpg
Thank you guys very much.. I got the 3rd plant from the cacti/succulent show in San Francisco a few years back and after seeing these photos, I remember the flowers it had when I first got it! http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/2117/ Now i am trying to figure out the one that my friend gave me....
On the 2nd one, did the leaves have a powder-like coating on them? It would give them a grey or bluish look to them. It looks like the bloom has been wiped off the leaves. Have you seen your friend's plant bloom before? I believe it could be Cotyledon orbiculata v. oblonga 'Flavida'. If so, the flowers will look like the ones at the site in the link below: http://www.smgrowers.com/products/plants/plantdisplay.asp?plant_id=456
