In The Garden: If this is a large Malvaceae, what is it? A desirable flower? Or a weed?

Below is some of the original edits. I thought the plant was fully identified, but it may not specifically be a common hollyhock.

I've added two more photos just now, that include my hand, as a general reference of size.

If anyone has any thoughts, please share!

I have no idea whether this is a weed, or something I planted last year.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
    Thanks! :)

Edit: Dave's Garden helped me solve this. The suggestion was Hollyhock.

(I forgot how much lower this planting area is than the pathway right next to it. I went back outside to take more photos. Standing from the opposite side, on the actual bed, it's more than twice the height I had perceived) I've added the additional photos, so you can see the more lanky view of the plant. I've never grown hollyhock before, so I would never had recognized it without some help!

Re: What is this plant? (Solved - Hollyhock)

Malvaceae anyway, not sure about Althaea rosea - particularly as you move right through the pictures.

Re: What is this plant? (Not solved? - What type of Malvaceae? )

Could this Malvaceae be something like,

    Mallow, French Hollyhock 'Bibor Felho'
    Malva sylvestris subsp. mauritiana

    ?

It looks more similar to me than the common hollyhock, but not at all right still. My plant seems bulky, thick and stubby in comparison.

    Thanks for any thoughts! :)

You'll be able to recognize it when it blooms.

It appears to be Hollyhock. Is it? Does anyone know of a particular type?
