If it's at all possible, I think I'm killing my bamboo....

I have a couple stalks of bamboo sitting in a vase on my kitchen table. I've had it for ages... but it's turning yellow now and seems to be wilting away. The stalk itself is about a foot long, and the leaves are about a foot high over the plant. It seems to have great roots.

Should I plant it or something?

Well first you don't have bamboo, you have a Dracaena Sanderiana. This plant can survive in the water, but it depends on if you have hard or soft water and if you are giving it any fertilizer. You can plant it in soil and it will grow into a nice plant with some pruning.
