I got this tree yesterday from someone who was moving but I have no idea what it is or how to care for it. Anything would be helpful.
    Thank you,

It does look like a loquat tree, these grow in to fairly large handsome trees around 20 to 30 ft. I had one in my backyard in Melbourne Australia. The parikeets used to attack the soft orange coloured fruit every dawn after the flying fruit bats had gorged themselves on it the night before. The fruit is edible though the seeds are posionous. You can keep the fruit in the frige up to a week, we used to make jam out of them that was the season before the bats found them.
The flower is cream white. I think it originally came from China.
If the weather is too cold it wont produce fruit. We have some growing here in Auckland we get cold winters yet we still have some fruit. Good luck

It looks very light-starved. More sun would help. Put it outside for the summer, in light shade for the first few days until it adapts to outdoor conditions, then in full sun.

Thank you everyone. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I will definately take better care of it I hope, especially now that I know what it is.
