Recently, I found plants growing nearby in the woods. I would like more information on them, because the habitat they are shown in will be destroyed soon, so I want to transplant them. The first two pictures are of the same type of plant but in different locations. The last picture looks like some type of fern that is has the top end wrapped in a circle. These plants were found growing by a 2-3 inch pool of greenish water in the woods. There was lots of ferns. Thanks. (I live in zone 4 in Alaska)
To identify the plants need good quality pictures, or all you will get is best guess, the flowers are most important for an accurate identification. Secondly you might need to get permission to salvage/remove the plants, the land owner may have plans for the plants etc.
My best guess is Arisaema triphyllum Jack in the Pulpit. Try this site for comparison: http://www.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=12259&d=1147624601 Try this site for a list of native Alaskan ferns: http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/environment/rdsduse/ak.htm -Hope that helps
