    Howdy,

I found what i think is Amanita muscaria growing in my yard. (under a pine in northern California)

I have been doing some research and everything i have found(images, texts) points to Amanita muscaria.

Are there any look alike species? i know there is another Amanita that grows orange as opposed to the blood red of Amanita muscaria but is there another rogue mushroom?

I can't provide an image but it looks like every other Amanita muscaria i have seen. Any information would be great.

    Thanks!

Amanita pantherina, is very commonly mistaken for A.muscarina. Very common up here in the Fraser Valley,Pacific Northwest.
