Not 'obviously', at all. There's nothing in your reply to indicate it is anything other than a species of Fraxinus that occurs in mountain habitats. Here's what Mountain Ash really is.
European mountain ash. Ash. Norfolk Island pine. Pine. No difference. Anyone not familiar with the name European mountain ash would only have to Google it to see what it referred to.
