identify this tree

    Definately Delonix Regia one of my favourite trees, very easy to grow from seed too! They have many different varieties in that genus.

    Never seen one up here in Oregon, but I'd imagine that southern California would have some.

    Form looks every bit as nice as Silk Tree.

    Only southernmost California. A tropical tree prevalent in places like Hawaii.

    You can find them in Florida and then on down throughout Mexico where they are very common especially in Mexico City downwards. Also in Spain in Europe, the Canaries and so on. In the UK they make a nice house plant for a number of years until the spread of the tree means that they are too large for a conservatory.
