Identify this Maple

    Hi
    Please help me to identify this acer in fall foliage.Leaves are maximum 5.5 cm x 6 cm. Adult plants reach 3.00 mts.

    Probably a hedge maple (Acer campestre).

    Calling a common name an "error" is itself an error, since these have no correctness.

    OK then, lets call it an act of unpleasant US imperialism, trying to rename other peoples' plants for them. Not a very nice thing to do.
