Can any one identify this beautiful flower? We have it in our flower garden but can't remember where we got it and this is the first time it has bloomed. (We are in south Florida.)
That would be my guess, too. It's common as a friendship plant in Florida, dug from overgrown beds and shared with friends. Mine was a little more violet colored, as I recall.
Thanks to both replies. I think you are right after a little research. It has been a very intriguing flower to watch open as it does so very slowly. We have two that are in the ground. Are we better off potting them in the future?
