Identification: Identify: Smells great indoor tree

    Hello,

    I really can't identify this indoor tree. I got a cutting off it from the guy who takes care of the plants in my office. It smells really great when cut.. i've been unable to describe the smell very well to people... like maple syrup and spices...

    It gets nice slightly rugged grey bark when it's large.

    So, here's to hoping someone here can let me know what plant this is... because I'm at a loss...

    Looks like Polyscias scutellaria, Shield Aralia.

    ooh great call. Thanks, on googling Polyscias Scutellaria it certainly has to be that. judging on how the plant from the office looks: Great success!
