Identify my succulent, please

    I think this plant is a succulent. It is a very old species - my plant is from my great-great-grandmother's plant. I think she used to call it "Hen and Chicks." New babies are formed from little plants growing from the serrated leaves. Thank you for your help.

    Not usually called by the common name Hen and Chicks, but rather Mother of Thousands, because of all the little plantlets produced from the leaves. Bryophyllum daigremontianum is its name unless it's been changed again--then possibly Kalanchoe daigremontiana. Yes, it is a succulent. Best to keep the babies from falling into nearby pots (or the ground) as they'll soon be growing everywhere...even in the cracks of cement!
