Identification: Identify my mean plant

Hi. A former tenant left this plant in my apartment, so I started caring for it several years ago. It has long, tough dark green leaves (darker than my bad photos) with tiny red spines outlining them. When it scratches the skin, a welt results. Can anyone identify this please? Thanks. : )
