My husband and I was vacationing in Ocean City, Md in front of the carousel there were palm tree with seedlings. We asked the door man and he said to help ourselves to them. We removed two seedlings. They look like bulbs with palm tree casings like when a leaf dies off and removed. They are light green with a little black tip at the top of them. I remember the palm tree being somewhat tall. They were growing in planters in front of the hotel. Can anyone, someone tell me how to grow them and tell me what kind they might be.

    Thank you
    Janet

    Hi Janet,

I would suggest that you either call the hotel and ask to speak with whoever is in charge of the landscaping and ask them which palm it might be, or you could look here. There aren't that many palms that are hardy here in Maryland.
