identification

    Hi to all the members and thank you to those who will help me.

    I found a thorny cardoon-like plant. I took its leaves and there was a red juice, like blood. Its stem seemed white. It smelt horribly and had yellow flowers.

    Which plant could it be?

    Maybe Carthamus lanatus?

    Maybe Argemone mexicana? Search for it.
