My wife bought a tropical hibiscus today, but we are not sure what type it is. I called the garden center and they said they do not know. All they can say is that it is a "Tropical Hibiscus." I thought it looked like a tigers paw, but then I think I am wrong, because there is no yellow around the edge. Thank you in advance.
Thank you for the reply. My 8 year old daughter found it on another site. It is a Hibiscus rosa-sinensis. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/413/
And that is one of the base species. Hybridizers have used that one for many years to create many of the hybrid forms they sell.
