    Hello all,
my cat Molly had to be put to sleep December 2nd. She was only 8 years old and otherwise in perfect health.
I come here in search of a means to identify a house plant that i suspect may have been the culprit. I of course only came to realize this potential cause after the fact.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
this is the only plant in the house.

Your plant is Epipremnium aureum, aka Pothos, which is indeed toxic to cats in large quantities. However, if you've had both the cat and the plant for quite some time, I'd be suspicious of placing the blame on it (unless, of course, you see large-scale cat munching type damage on it). Cats generally know to leave aroids like Epipremnium alone, though - one small nibble confirms for them that the plant is not very tasty, and they don't chew it again.
