I bought this from a nursery in Richmond about 2 years ago and all it had was a tag with no english on it - not even the employees could tell me anything about it. I was able to identify the plant using the tag as a reference everytime I forgot what is was.......I know, I should have labeled it long before now.
Anyways, the tag has now fallen apart and I am trying to put a permanent label on it.

The plant dies back in the fall and then produces these wonderful varied leaves in the spring. The white berries it produces change to pink by fall. Both the plant and the berries are slightly fuzzy. The plant itself is about 2.5 to 3ft tall; any taller and it will sag against something for support. I believe it is european to zone 6

    Thank you,

    UPDATE:
The plant has been identified as a type of Asian Feverwort, possibly triosteum erythrocarpum
