    Hello,

A few years ago my wife and I bought a planter containing several plants, mostly perennials. This plant quickly outgrew it's container so we replanted it. Any ideas what it is? Once I know that I'll be able to research how to continue growing it... right now it's quite unwieldy and falling over. Thanks for any help you can give us.

Looks like (from what I can tell looking at it sideways) kale to me, which has either seeded itself in the pot since you bought it, or it was part of the original planting. If you want it, cut it back wherever you like: It will continue to grow from that point. It's about to go to seed, so do it sooner rather than later.

    Dear Woodschmoe,

Sorry about the photo being on it's side; it was right side up when I attached it. I'll cut the plant back this afternoon. Thanks for the prompt reply, it's much appreciated.
