i've been wondering what this plant is for ages but can't figure it out!! it started growing randomly in one of my fly traps and exploded its seeds everywhere into my other pots!! this is it (although i took the photo when it was getting dark so the leaves are starting to fold closed) http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af52/emi-chan-san/mysteryplant.jpg
It is an Oxalis sp. In Britain the most common one is called woodsorrel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxalis http://images.google.com/images?q=o...1I7SUNA_en-GB&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi
hmmmm... it really does look like Oxalis arborea... it's not poisonous, dangerous or restricted is it??
emi, it is very difficult to say which Oxalis it may be. The colour of the flowers will play a part in the id.
Not sure about all Oxalis, but the common one here Oxalis acetosella has leaves that are edible. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_wood_sorrel
its been so long since they've flowered i can't remember...yellow i think so it's some sort if Oxalis anyway!
