Identification: Identification of two perrenials in my garden

    I live in Victoria, BC. I have two perrenials in my garden and I don't know what they are. Perhaps someone can help identify them.

    The first is more than ten feet tall and in the front yard and is deciduous. It gets lovely small white flowers in June every year. It is quite woody and needs to be pruned every year. See my pics below.

    The second plant is in my backyard, in partial shade and is deciduous as well. It is about six feet tall and has tiny bell shaped hanging flowers. It blooms in June. See my pics below.

    Number 1 looks like a Philadelphus, someone else here might be able to specify species/variety, number 2 is Leycesteria formosa (Himalayan Honeysuckle). The brown berries taste a lot like burnt sugar; sometimes called chocolate berry. Having eaten a few, I'd say that's a stretch.
