I recently rescued some large indoor plants from an office closure. If anyone can tell me what they are and how best to care for them, I would be very grateful.
Looks like: Ficus lyrata, Fiddle-Leaf Fig; Dracaena fragrans 'Massangeana', Corn Plant; Ficus benjamina, Weeping Fig.
Where in Ottawa did you find them? I live there too and its very rare that I ever see plants on the street, usually I just get the sick ones from work and bring them back to life. The ficus lyrata like bright light and can take some direct sun, water it when it becomes slighty dry and if it gets too big just prune it back. The Dracaena like low to bright light and likes to dry out between waterings, you can also prune this one back if it gets too tall, and finally the Ficus benjamina like a bit of sun and to be kept moist always, if it gets too dry it will drop some leaves. Leaf drop on the 2 ficus is normal especially after they have been moved. If you ever want more plants or advice Just let me know, I always have plants that need a good home.
